Prepress Specs - FILE PREPARATION GUIDELINES

APPLICATIONS SUPPORTED:
Preferred Programs
1. Adobe Illustrator 9.0
2. Adobe Photoshop 6.0
3. Aldus Freehand 8.0

Other Programs
5. Adobe Pagemaker 6.5
6. Corel Draw 8.0
***Convert all text to curves, paths, or outlines in Corel, Illustrator and Freehand

MEDIA SUPPORTED:
1. 3.5 floppy
2. Zip 100mb
3. Super Disk
4. CD
5. Jazz 1 or 2 gig

GUIDELINES:
1. Hard copy proof MUST be submitted with the electronic file. Also, indications for PMS colors, size and FPO's must be clearly marked on the hard copy. Contract color proofs accepted for color:
2. The page layout file must be in correct proportion to the final size.
*** 30 sheet bleeds (jumbos) must be setup 10% of final size (12.3" x 27.2")

3. Submit all TIFF, EPS, etc. support files used in building the layout. When
applicable, send the native file as well. DO NOT EMBED FILES!
4. Submit screen and printer fonts used in file preparation.
5. Submit any transparencies or reflective art to be scanned.
6. Scans provided by the client should be:
    a. Vehicle 100dpi @ actual output size.
    b. Mural / Large wall graphic 360dpi @ actual output size.
    c. Interior Wall close view POP graphic 720 @ actual output size.

The page layout file must be in correct proportion to the final size.

*** Total number of pixels in a Tiff, EPS, Scitex CT, ect is what determines if a file can be used. The can be determined by viewing how many megabytes the saved file is.
